Dimeta is a joint venture between SHV Energy and UGI International to advance the production and use of renewable and recycled carbon DME to accelerate renewable solutions for the LPG industry. Dimeta promotes the use of renewable DME by driving efforts geared at broad market acceptance, developing new technologies to gain traction among users, and supporting the development of infrastructure, regulations and standards for the fuel's safe use in the off-grid energy sector.


With a mission to accelerate the development of the hydrogen economy and a net-zero carbon future, Oberon Fuels has been behind many of the most important developments and industry firsts. The first fuel-grade DME plant in North America and the world’s first commercial scale rDME plant are two such milestones, in addition to numerous important specification, legislative and regulatory achievements in California and the United States.


Multinational SHV Energy has a global portfolio of companies providing energy products and services to millions of customers via brands including Calor, Pinnacle, Primagas, Supergasbras and Liquigas. The company's ambition is that 100% of its energy products will be renewably sourced by 2040. In 2018 SHV Energy companies in 9 European countries became the first in the world to offer customers bioLPG - a drop-in replacement fuel offering up to 80% lower carbon footprint.


Suburban Propane is the third-largest distributor of propane in the United States, providing service to approximately 1 million residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural customers through 700 locations in 41 states.


UGI International is a leading LPG supplier, distributing LPG in 17 countries in Western and Central Europe under seven distinct brands. It also operates a gas marketing business in select countries. UGI International’s businesses are among market leaders in their respective countries.


Industry


IDA members include both small enterprises and large corporations, representing the entire industry value chain, from production, distribution and dispensing, to equipment, components and use in a variety of current and potential future applications.


Bio Friends supplies DME to customers in South Korea from its 5,000 ton per year facility commissioned in 2020. In addition to its core DME production business, Bio Friends leads technology research and project development activities involving DME, renewable DME, LPG-DME blends and hydrogen. A second DME production plant, with a capacity of 10,000 TPY, is currently under construction.

Active in more than 180 countries, Chevron Corporation is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industries, including hydrocarbon exploration and production, refining, marketing, transport, chemicals and power generation, in addition to projects and investments aimed at lowering the carbon intensity of the company's operations and growing lower carbon businesses.


DCC has a global portfolio of companies providing sales, marketing and distribution of low carbon energy solutions to millions of customers via brands including Butagaz, Certa, DCC Propane, Flogas and QStar.

Ford Motor Company is a global automotive industry leader that manufactures or distributes automobiles across six continents, with 66 plants worldwide. Ford's Research & Advanced Engineering Centers in Germany and Canada lead projects to reduce the carbon footprint of future Ford vehicles by developing technologies related to renewable high energy-density drop-in fuels, including DME and OME.


Part of the Iveco Group, FPT Industrial is an international leader in the design, production and sale of powertrains for on-road, off-road, marine and power generation applications, with seven research and development centres around the world. IVECO was a pioneer in the use of natural gas and biomethane for transport, being the first manufacturer to offer a full range of natural gas models from light- to heavy-duty vehicles and buses.

Responsible for research of technology for future use on vehicles developed by Isuzu Motors, Isuzu Advanced Engineering Center led many of the earliest projects validating and demonstrating DME's use as a low-emission fuel for diesel vehicles.


KEW Technology is a sustainable energy solutions company deploying its proprietary advanced gasification process to convert waste and low-grade biomass to produce a portfolio of low carbon gases and fuels for application across difficult to decarbonise energy sectors.

Methanex is the world’s largest producer of methanol, supplying customers in major international markets in North and South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The company's global operations are supported by an extensive global supply chain of terminals, storage facilities and the world’s largest dedicated fleet of methanol ocean tankers.


NGC’s core business includes the aggregation, purchase, sale, transmission and distribution of natural gas, as well as a growing portfolio of investments and activities in the space of clean energy.

Nouryon is a global leader in the specialty chemicals market, operating in more than 80 countries around the world with a portfolio of industry-leading brands. From its DME production facility in Rotterdam, the company supplies customers in Europe and globally with both fossil-derived and Green DME produced using biomethanol.


Parafour Innovations has more than 50 years of experience in the LPG fueling and Autogas industry to rely on to produce dispensers for DME fuel service. With years of experience gained by employees working for companies like Petrolane, IMPCO, BRC, CleanFUEL USA, GE, and others, Parafour has designed, built and serviced thousands of Autogas refueling stations worldwide, and are responsible for the DME dispensers used in North American DME vehicle demonstrations since 2014.

Superior is a leading North American distributor and marketer of propane, distillates and related products and services, servicing more than 890,000 customer locations in the United States and Canada. In 2022 the company announced an agreement with InEnTec to bring renewable DME to its customers, using InEnTec's plasma enhanced smelter PEM gasification process to divert organic waste from landfill for conversion into DME for blending with propane.


TARKIM is one of Europe’s leading producers of DME, supplying customers from its plant commissioned in 2008. The company was the first producer of bioethanol in Turkey, and also supplies isobutane to customers.

A global leader in process technologies for the production of clean transportation fuels as well as ammonia, methanol and hydrogen, Topsoe has been involved in the most important developments related to DME since its potential as a fuel was first discovered at the company in the 1990s. Topsoe's mission is to lead the transition of these areas into the renewable future, with a strategic vision to be recognized as the global leader in carbon emission reduction technologies by 2024.
